Jake brings a diverse range of experience to the team at automätik. From his time as an instructor and curriculum writer in the U.S. Army, to his time as a high school teacher, Jake has a unique perspective on learning and instructional design. He holds an A.A. in music performance, a B.A. in Intercultural Communication, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. Jake has designed training for a wide range of military, professional, and educational programs, and his unique background shapes his approach to every learning opportunity.

Jake has a deep knowledge of how people receive and retain information, which he combines with a true passion for lifelong learning. He strives to make every learning opportunity engaging, impactful, and long-lasting. No matter what Jake is working on, he utilizes education, knowledge, and experience to synthesize memorable learning outcomes.

Though Jake has lived in many states, he has set down roots in Arizona. Jake prides himself on being a loving (and embarrassing) dad to three teenagers. A few nights per month, he can also be found somewhere around Phoenix playing bass with his band. When Jake has downtime, he is often reading or trying to write the next great American novel.
